Mission HEAL is a faith based initiative in the vision of HOM. We seek to partner with Christian health care professional and other medical mission in organizing periodic mobile unit that rotates through designated neighborhoods in and around Liberia and regions where HOM works to provide holistic healthcare through volunteer doctors, nurses, social workers and non-medical volunteers, both at home (Liberia) and from abroad. It is our goal to be responsive to the evolving health needs of Liberia which is an important link to rebuilding access to quality healthcare.
Many returning Liberians from refugee camps and those at home cannot afford to pay for their healthcare or medical treatments in hospitals and clinics.
We seek to initiate A Medical Charity Healthcare system, which will mobilize and bring together volunteer medical doctors and nurses move with passion to respond to the demanding health needs of Liberia. By taking mobile health services to people in their own communities, we will reach a population without access to medical treatment because of financial constraints.
The periodic and consistent presence of Mission HEAL in these communities instills hope, trust and compassion for people trying to rebuild and recover, and enhances medical treatment and access for people in need.
