| | ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
The Harvest Outreach Ministries is an indigenous, holistic and evangelistic ministry in West Africa, with headquarters’ in Monrovia, Liberia. The Harvest Outreach Evangelical Church (now New Vision Worship Center) was established on January 4, 1998 during the Liberian Civil Crisis which took the lives of over 200,000 people.
The inception of the church was to ministered and bring hope to the displace Liberian (people) running for their lives in their own country; at this point and time Jesus was the only hope and answer to prayers. Young evangelists embark on street evangelism, preaching in streets corner, market places, and transportation buses, displace camps and so forth.
The church grew having 42 (forty two) preaching points. At this juncture the ministers of the Harvest Outreach Ministries after a time of prayer decided to begin the Harvest Outreach Evagelical Church so as to properly minister to the save from their preaching points/tours. This was very much welcome.
Today, The Harvest Outreach Ministries minister to hundreds of people in Liberia, Ghana (on the Liberian Refugee Camp; Buduburam),and Togo. (All in West Africa) and the United States of America. The ministry has Five churches in Liberia, one in Ghana and one in the Republic of Togo. A new church has began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA., under the able leadership of Rev. Archie Z. Kamara. The church also has it focus on children and orphans; thus children ministries and orphanages are in operations in Liberia, Ghana and Togo.
Ministry Focus In Liberia, West Africa: The West African Country Liberia has suffered enormously in the wake of a destructive civil war over most of the 1990’s. An estimated total of 200,000 Liberians and other nationals lost their lives or were killed and over one million people fled the country for refuge in exile. Most of these refugees are returning home ( to Liberia )but with almost nothing to begin rebuilding their lives.
Despite this, the number of churches in Monrovia, the capital, named after former American President James Monroe; have increased from 20 to 65 during the past years. The largest churches having more than 1200 worshippers on Sundays. Presently, in Liberia there are communities and people groups that have not been reached by the gospel of Jesus Christ. These people must be reached by the grace of God. This is why the Harvest Outreach Ministries is opening her arms for mission partners as we work together in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus. We are calling on you to come to Liberia and help us reach Africa for Jesus Christ. We can hear the Lord Saying " My Hands Are Your Hands"
Prayer Focus Join us as we pray for the one million plus Liberians living as refugees in neighboring nations like Ghana ( Where a branch church is situated ) Guinea, Togo, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast who now must resettle and reintegrate. Pray for the Spirit of God in the work of reconciliation in Liberia, the churches between those who fled the country during the war and those who remained in the country.
